Angeline Quinto: The Next Big Hot Star for 2012

Despite her sad life story, singer Angeline Quinto has proven that a dreamer can achieve her dreams as long as she is determined to get them no matter what. She started her singing career at early age as she joined a lot of singing competitions in town fiestas as well as competitions on televisions. However, her previous participations were all failures as she always failed to win anyone of those contests she had attended.
One of her supposed stepping stones to a professional singing career was the “Star For A Night” singing tilt hosted by IBC13 TV many years ago but she only finished as Top 10 Finalist. The night was grabbed by Ms Sarah Geronimo. That was the biggest upset in her singing career because she was already one step to getting a recording contract. Sarah Geronimo got it and became a superstar few years later.
Until her luck finally came via ABS CBN’s Pop Superstar Singing Tilt hosted by Ms Sharon Cuneta. Sharon was instrumental in Sarah’s stardom as she also became the judge in “Star For A Night,” in which Angeline did not make it.

Beginnings
Angeline Quinto was born on November 26, 1989 in Sampaloc, Manila. Her biological mother tried to abort Angeline but her grandmother stopped it which resulted in selling Angeline to her grandmother.

This young, beautiful singer aspires to be a singer. She has joined several singing competitions in her town but had, unfortunately, lost most of them. Despite of the failures that she had and being unable to know her mother and abandoned by her father for another family, she still pursued to achieve her dreams and continued to join different competitions. She would even leave her house just to join a singing competition. Then came a night of a very special night where she won 3 different competitions in just one night. Her grand mother was so proud when she won Php7,000 (US$165) and she even cooked a delicious dinner for her grandmother.

Angeline Quinto has cited various artists who have influenced her musical style. She grew up listening to songs of Regine Velazquez and says she is the main reason she does music. Quinto credits Velasquez's singing and her song "What Kind Of Fool Am I" as influencing her to begin practicing vocal "runs" as a child, as well as helping her pursue a career as a musician. Quinto also cites influences from American artists such as Maria Carey, Whitney Houston and Beyonce Knowles. – with a report from Wikipedia.org.
