Based on the documents recently released by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), KrisAquino, sister of Philippine President Benigno Aquino, Jr, is the highest paid celebrity of the this country, with her payment of P32 Million Pesos to the government tax agency.
Kris Aquino, tagged as the “Queen of all Media is currently connected with ABS-CBN. Among her projects in 2010 which contributed to her earning of around P101 Million, include her various endorsements of different brand names. You can always see Kris on TV, promoting either a shampoo, seasoning or other products.
What is very intriguing to this report released by BIR is the fact that Kris even outranked three business tycoon such as Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala of Ayala Corporation, TV 5 owner Manuel Pangilinan and Henry Sy of SM Prime Holdings. Can you believe that? An actress simply outsmarted them in paying taxes? Well, as far as I know a lot of businessmen in this country are not correctly paying their taxes. If they have followed the footsteps of Kris Aquino, then this country could be richer by the millions.
