Yassi Pressman: A Journey of Versatility in Filipino Entertainment



 Yasmin Isabel Yasto Pressman, born on May 11, 1995, is a Filipino model, actress, television personality, singer, and dancer. Initially recognized for portraying antagonistic roles, she gained prominence for her portrayal of Alyana Arevalo in the popular series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.

Early Life:

Pressman was born in British Hong Kong to a British father and a Filipino mother from Isabela. Her second name, Isabel, pays homage to her mother's home province. Yassi has four sisters: Abby, Cara, Siobhan, and Issa.


Career:

Yassi is renowned for her breakthrough role as Alyana R. Arevalo-Dalisay in Ang Probinsyano. She is celebrated in the Philippine showbiz industry for her versatility as an actress, singer, and dancer. Yassi is a regular presence in TV series, variety shows, local blockbuster movies, and numerous product endorsement advertisements.

Her career kicked off with TV commercials at the age of 6, with Colgate being her first in 2001. In 2006, she joined the cast of the ABS-CBN drama series Gulong ng Palad as the young Luisa. Yassi became a regular talent on GMA Network in 2009, showcasing her dance skills in SOP. She earned the title "Princess of the Dance Floor" on Party Pilipinas, succeeding SOP. With the transition from SOP to Party Pilipinas, Yassi became part of Sayaw Pilipinas.

In 2013, she signed a co-management contract with Viva Artists Agency and emerged as one of the top VJs at MTV. Yassi also appeared in numerous online shorts.

The year 2014 marked her film debut, portraying Lorraine "Lory" Keet in Diary ng Panget alongside Andre Paras. Yassi further showcased her acting skills as Audrey Dela Cruz in Talk Back, and You're Dead, sharing the screen with Nadine Lustre and James Reid.

In 2016, Yassi made a notable move to ABS-CBN as a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7. She became a regular performer on ASAP and joined the teleserye adaptation of FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, the longest-running drama series on Philippine television.
