Arjo Atayde: A Versatile Journey from the Screen to Public Service

 


Juan Carlos "Arjo" Campo Atayde, born on November 5, 1990, is a Filipino actor and politician currently serving as the representative for Quezon City's 1st district since 2022. Widely recognized for his roles in ABS-CBN drama series and his critically acclaimed portrayal of Benjo in the web series Bagman, Atayde is a member of the Nacionalista Party. In the 2022 general elections, he secured a seat in Congress, defeating incumbent representative Onyx Crisologo.

Early Life



Arjo Atayde was born to actress Sylvia Sanchez and Spanish-Filipino businessman Arturo Atayde on November 5, 1990. As the eldest among his siblings – Ria, Gela, and Xavi – he hails from a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry. Arjo's educational journey led him through La Salle Green Hills before making the transition to Reedley International School.
