Bea Rose Monterde Santiago: A Journey from Masbate to Miss International

 

Bea Rose Monterde Santiago (Tagalog pronunciation: [sɐnˈtjɐgɔ]; born February 17, 1990) is a distinguished Filipino actress, model, and beauty queen, achieving the title of Miss International 2013 on December 17, 2013.[2] Before clinching the Binibining Pilipinas crown, she held the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2011 title, representing the Filipino community in Canada. Her journey began as a fashion model for Elite Model Management, ultimately leading her to join Binibining Pilipinas in 2013.

Early Life

Hailing from Muntinlupa, Bea Rose Monterde Santiago later relocated to Cataingan, Masbate, where she was nurtured by her grandparents. Her educational journey took her to Masbate City, where she completed high school at Liceo de Masbate.As the eldest of three siblings, she made a significant move to Canada with her family at the age of 15. In Canada, she pursued Communications at York University and concurrently pursued a modeling career under the prestigious Elite Model Management.
