Versatility Unleashed: The Milestones of Miles Ocampo's Vibrant Journey

Camille Tan Hojilla, born on May 1, 1997, is professionally known as Miles Ocampo, a versatile Filipino artist recognized for her roles as an actress, commercial model, television host, and writer. Regarded as one of the most promising talents in her generation, Ocampo left ABS-CBN's Star Magic in 2022 to join Crown Artist Management, a talent agency founded by Maja Salvador and her husband, Rambo Nunez-Ortega. The subsequent year marked a milestone as she secured her first acting award at the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival for her performance in the film "Family of Two." Presently, she is associated with TVJ Productions and serves as one of the hosts on the enduring noontime show "Eat Bulaga!"—previously known as E.A.T.—where she is celebrated for her humorous knock-knock jokes

career

Ocampo's television journey commenced with a Bibbo Hotdog commercial, followed by her participation in the noontime variety show "Magandang Tanghali Bayan." Subsequently, she ventured into drama with appearances in the series "Mangarap Ka" and later joined the original cast of the kiddie comedy show "Goin' Bulilit" in 2005 at the age of 7. Her entry into the show involved an audition where she showcased her talent by imitating her mom scolding her.

Throughout her career, Ocampo featured in various notable projects, including the teen show "Luv U" and the sitcom "Home Sweetie Home." Her memorable roles include Camille Sarmiento in "Luv U" and Gigi in "Home Sweetie Home." She also left an imprint in primetime series such as "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw," "And I Love You So," and "Sana Dalawa ang Puso." In February 2023, she earned widespread acclaim for her portrayal of the young Marites Dimaguiba in FPJ's "Batang Quiapo."

Ocampo's involvement in Star Cinema films includes "I've Fallen for You," "A Very Special Love," "You Changed My Life," "BFF: Best Friends Forever," and "Paano na Kaya." Noteworthy performances in movies like "One Great Love," "Write About Love," and "The Missing" further solidified her standing in the industry.

In 2019, Ocampo achieved a significant milestone by securing her first leading role in the movie "Write About Love" for the Metro Manila Film Festival. Her selection for the role came without an audition, as director Crisanto Aquino deemed her the perfect choice.

A surprising turn occurred in March 2022 when Ocampo joined the cast of "Eat Bulaga!" as the newest Dabarkads host. However, her nearly one-year stint was interrupted in March 2023 due to health reasons, as she underwent surgery for papillary thyroid carcinoma. Although she briefly returned to the show in April 2023, she eventually left without prior announcement.

On July 7, 2023, Ocampo made a move to TV5's noontime show "E.A.T" under TVJ Productions, showcasing her continued versatility. Notably, she clinched the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival for her role as Zari in the movie "Family of Two.
